DIY Green Cleaning Products: How to Make Citrus-Infused Vinegar

To make citrus-infused vinegar, you’ll need to collect some easy to find items—some of which you likely already have around your home. To start off with, you’ll need a glass jar with a lid, white vinegar, and citrus peels. Once the vinegar has been successfully infused, you will also need a strainer, a medium-sized bowl, a spray bottle, and possibly a funnel to prevent any spills while transferring the finished product into the spray bottle.

As any type of citrus peels can be used to infuse vinegar, feel free to use whichever type of peels will be most convenient. If your family eats a lot of oranges, then orange peels could be the logical choice to use when infusing your vinegar. Planning to make fresh-squeezed lemonade for a party? Then perhaps you’ll want to save your lemon peels and use them instead.
